Wavy Gravy

Celebrating 88 years of clowning around for social change!

Hippie icon? Check.
Flower geezer? You bet.
Temple of accumulated error? Absolutely.

And we're proud to say Wavy Gravy is our dear friend.

Across decades, from Woodstock to Nepal, Wavy's used his creative activism, humor, and heart to unite people in making our world a better place. His message, simple and powerful:

We can make a difference and have fun doing it.

As Co-Founder of Seva Foundation, Wavy's ethos has guided our sight-restoring work for 45 years. We take the work we do seriously, but not ourselves. The people we serve, partners with whom we collaborate, and our fun-loving supporters (you!) is where the magic and impact of Seva truly lies.

We celebrate Wavy's 88th birthday this year in true Wavy spirit – song and love! Take a listen and watch his music video for "Basic Human Needs," a heartfelt track about how we all have the power to make a better world for our shared human family.

As Wavy sings, "give me people helping people" – Wavy's helped millions of people through Seva and beyond. People who've gone on to help others and keep this cycle of goodness going.
